So we serve a number of clients who operate in both states or clients who used to operate in one state but are now operating in the other state.<\/p>\n

Accordingly, we do provide do-it-yourself kits for Oregon entrepreneurs to use for setting up an S corporation. Our most popular kit (and the one we strongly recommend) uses an Oregon LLC as the platform for an S corporation. We also, however, provide another kit that uses an Oregon corporation as the platform.<\/p>\n

Our Oregon\u00a0S Corporation kit<\/h2>\n

An S corporation can be based on both a regular, traditional corporation or\u00a0on a limited liability company. The advantages of using a limited liability company include easier governance and the opportunity to make the S election at some point after the LLC is formed rather than at the exact same time.<\/p>\n

Our kits, by the way, provide complete instructions for forming either an LLC or corporation, for applying for and obtaining a federal tax identification number, and for making the federal 2553 election.<\/p>\n
